521.061 DUTY TO KEEP SHARED USE PATHS CLEAN.
   (a)   No owner or occupant of abutting lands shall fail to keep at least four feet of the width of a shared use path free from snow, ice, dirt or any nuisance.

   (b)   No owner, occupant or person having the care of any building or lot of land bordering on any street with a shared use path shall fail to cause the snow to be removed from at least four feet of the width of such shared use path within twenty-four hours after cessation of the accumulation.  This provision shall include snow or ice falling from any building.
   (c)   Whenever such shared use path becomes encumbered with ice to the extent that less than four feet of width of such path is not so encumbered, the owner, occupant or person in control shall cause such sidewalk to be made safe by removing such ice or sprinkling the same with sand or other suitable substance within twenty-four hours following its formation.

   (d)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
