351.20  PARKING PROHIBITED IN DESIGNATED FIRE LANES.
   (a)   Fire lanes on private property devoted to public use.  The Fire Chief is authorized to designate fire lanes, routes, and exits, for, but not limited to shopping centers, schools, churches, recreation centers, grocery stores, large retail establishments, and similar uses where parking of vehicles or other obstructions may interfere with the ingress and the egress of fire protection equipment or rescue equipment or the evacuation of persons from such buildings or premises.
   (b)   Parking prohibited in fire lane routes and exits or any public area or private property devoted to public use designated by the Fire Chief and indicated by the posting of signs “Fire Lane-No Parking” or by pavement markings bearing the same legend.  After signs are in place no person shall park a vehicle in any such designated place.
   (c)   The owner or occupant of such premises shall be responsible for all costs associated with the installation of the appropriate signs or pavement markings.

   (d)   Whoever violates any provision of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on a first offense; on a second offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree; on each subsequent offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
