(a) Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 9.60 the Fire Department may provide emergency fire, rescue, and medical protection to any county, municipal corporation, or township of the state or other governmental entity without a contract to provide for said service.
(b) Whenever members of the Fire Department act pursuant to this section, such action is hereby declared to be within the scope of their employment so long as such act would be within such scope if done within the corporate limits of the Municipality, and all legal protections and benefits afforded said members in the course of their employment within such corporate limits shall continue when acting in other jurisdictions pursuant to this section.
