(a) It shall be the duty of the Municipal Treasurer, unless waived by a majority vote of Council, to request from the Ohio State Bureau of Inspections and Supervision of Public Offices or State Auditor, an audit of the financial records of the Municipality whenever there is a change in the person serving in any one or more of the following offices of the Municipality: Municipal Administrator, Finance Clerk, Tax Commissioner, and Treasurer.

(b) If the change involves the office of Municipal Treasurer, then it shall be the duty of the Municipal Administrator to request such audit.
