(a) Except for permits which are expressly issued by the State Fire Marshal, all operational, construction or discretionary permits specified in the Ohio Fire Code shall be issued by the Fire Chief. Construction permits referred to in this section shall be issued for installations or equipment as required by the Ohio Fire Code. Permits shall at all times be kept on the premises designated therein if practicable or in possession of the permittee and shall at all times be subject to inspection by the Fire Chief or the Chief’s designated representative.
(b) Application for any permit shall be made to the Fire Chief in such form and detail as the Chief may prescribe, and shall be accompanied by such data, plans or drawings deemed necessary by the Chief for reasonable evaluation of the application. Plan errors or omissions do not relieve the permittee from fully complying with the Ohio Fire Code.
(c) Prior to permit issuance, the Fire Chief shall make or cause to be made such inspections or tests as necessary to assure that the intended use or activity complies with the Codified Ordinances of the City of Waterville, the Ohio Fire Code and generally accepted safe practices.
(d) Permits shall be issued subject to such reasonable conditions or safeguards as may be imposed by the Fire Chief.
(e) The Fire Chief may revoke a permit for violation of law, the Ohio Fire Code or any permit condition, or for any false statement or misrepresentation as to a material fact in the submitted application, data, plans or drawings.
