1311.44  BUILDING OFFICIAL NOT PERSONALLY LIABLE.
   Neither the Building Official nor any person duly appointed as his assistant, when acting for the Municipality in the discharge of his duties, shall be deemed to render himself personally liable, and he is hereby relieved of all personal liability for any damage that may accrue to persons or property as a result of any such act performed in the discharge of his duties. Any suit brought against him because of any act performed by him in good faith in the enforcement of any provision of this Building Code shall be defended by the Solicitor until the final termination of the proceedings thereunder. The Municipality shall provide a bond in adequate amount to cover such liability.  (1980 Code 150.120; Ord. 234.)
