An elected member of Council shall be elected to the office of Vice-Mayor for a term of two (2) years by a majority of the members of Council. The Vice-Mayor shall be elected at the first meeting in January 1994 and ever other year thereafter.
The Vice-Mayor shall exercise all of the powers and perform all the duties of the Mayor in case of temporary absence or temporary disability of the Mayor.
Any member of Council elected to the office of Vice-Mayor for (2) consecutive years shall thereafter be ineligible for that office for the next year.
