(a) No person, while within any mercantile establishment within this Municipality, shall knowingly do either of the following:
(1) Conceal on or about his person, any property of that establishment, without the express consent of the owner or a person authorized to give consent.
(2) Remove, deface, alter, or conceal any price tag, sticker, or other price designation on any property of that establishment, without the express consent of the owner or a person authorized to give consent.
(b) Whoever violates this section shall be guilty of improper handling of mercantile property, a minor misdemeanor.
