ORDINANCE NO. 2023-10
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 3, CHAPTER 2, SECTION 9 “PEDDLERS, SOLICITORS. ITINERANT MERCHANTS”
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Waterman, DeKalb County, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1. That Title 3, Chapter 2, Section 9 “Peddlers, Solicitors, Itinerant Merchants” of the Village of Waterman Municipal Code is hereby amended section 3-2-9 as follows:
Licenses issued pursuant to this chapter may be revoked or denied by the Village mayor
after notice given in writing setting forth specifically the grounds of the complaint for any of the following causes:
A. Any fraud, misrepresentation or false statement contained in the application for license.
B. Conviction of any fraud, misrepresentation or false statement made in connection with the selling of goods, wares, service or merchandise.
C. Any violation of this chapter. (1999 Code § 6.04)
D. Conviction of the licensee of any felony or misdemeanor within the past five (5) ten (10) years.
E. Conviction of any crime involving stalking, burglary or moral turpitude, or status as a registered sex offender. (Ord. 2006-03, 3-14-2006)
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after it passage, approval, and publication, as is provided by law.

The pamphlet form of Ordinance No. 2023-10 including the Ordinance and a cover sheet thereof prepared, and a copy of such Ordinance was posted in the Village Hall, commencing on October 10

, 2023, and continuing for at least ten days thereafter. Copies of such Ordinance were also available for public inspection upon request in the office of the municipal clerk.
