Any person who shall violate the provisions of this chapter by creating, maintaining or causing to be created or maintained a nuisance, shall be fined as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code for each offense in addition to paying for any abatement expenses. Each day or portion thereof for which any nuisance is continued, maintained or suffered to be continued or maintained by the person creating, causing or suffering the same to be created or maintained, after reasonable notice to abate the same, shall be deemed a separate and distinct offense.
