For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
GARBAGE. Rejected food wastes, and to include every waste accumulation of animal, fruit, or vegetable matter, used or intended for food, or that attends the preparation, use, cooking, dealing in, or storing of meat, fish, fowl, fruit or vegetable, and all other putrescible wastes except sewage and body wastes.
INCINERATION. Placing the garbage and rubbish in an approved incinerator and disposing of same by fire, and disposing of ashes from said incinerator and any residue thereof which will not burn. The Town Council shall have final authority for deciding the meaning of the above terms.
RUBBISH. Such matter as ashes, cans, metalware, broken glass, crockery, dirt sweepings, boxes, lumber, wood, grass, weeds, or litter of any kind, except trees, large limbs or debris from demolition or construction of buildings.
SANITARY LANDFILL. Placing the garbage and rubbish in a specially prepared trench or its equivalent so that aforesaid contents can be thoroughly compacted and covered with at least two feet of compacted earth.
