(A) This section applies to town owned off-road vehicles, or snowmobiles or UTV’s or similar type vehicle and/or town leased or authorized by the town for use by town employees as may be permitted by I.C. § 9-21-1-3.3.
(B) Town now approves and/or authorizes the use of said vehicles described in division (A) upon any lands within the jurisdiction of the town in pursuit of the best interest of the town and in providing services to the town or any resident thereof.
(1) An operator of an off-road vehicle must cross a highway in the state highway system, at right angles, in order to travel from one roadway under the jurisdiction of the town to another roadway under the jurisdiction of the town when the operation can be done safely; and
(2) There should be no more than one passenger (other than the operator) that may be permitted on a town-owned off- road vehicle.
