§ 32.01 DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.
   (A)   The creation and existence of the Waterloo Department of Development is hereby ratified and confirmed, and shall hereafter be referred to as the “Waterloo Department of Economic Development” or the “Department of Economic Development”
   (B)   The Department of Economic Development shall be under the control of a commission of three members to be known as the “Waterloo Economic Development Commission”
   (C)   The members of the Economic Development Commission shall be appointed by the Town Council President based upon the following nominations:
      (1)   One member shall be selected and appointed by the Town Council President.
      (2)   One member shall be nominated by the fiscal body of the county.
      (3)   One member shall be nominated by the Town Council.
   (D)   The Economic Development Commissioners shall take office upon their appointment and their terms shall run from February 1 after their original appointment for a period of:
      (1)    Three years, if selected by the Town Council President.
      (2)   Two years, if nominated by the Town Council.
      (3)   One year, if nominated by the county fiscal body.
   (E)   After the expiration of the respective terms of each of the original Economic Development Commissioners, their respective successors shall be selected and nominated in the same manner as the original commissioners, and each succeeding commissioner shall serve for a term of four years.
   (F)   The Economic Development Commission shall be governed by and comply with I.C. 36-7-12-1 et seq. and all amendments to such act.
