§ 156.54 CESSPOOLS AND PRIVIES NOT TO BE CONNECTED TO SEWERS.
   (A)   No cesspool or privy vault shall be connected with any private sewer or drain connecting with the public sewer.
   (B)   Connections with cesspools will be allowed only in places where it is impracticable to make connections with the public sewer. Where used, the location, size, construction and connection of cesspool shall be subject to the approval of the Plumbing Inspector or his authorized agent. In no case shall any cesspool be less than six feet in diameter and eight feet deep below the inlet or of equal area. Permits for the construction of any cesspool shall be obtained from the Plumbing Inspector and no cesspool shall be covered or concealed until approved by the Plumbing Inspector. Cesspools existing in premises accessible to a public sewer and cesspools that may hereafter become accessible to a public sewer shall be discontinued.
