§ 156.35 TYPE PIPE TO BE USED.
   (A)   All drain, soil, waste, vent and leader pipes, except as herein otherwise provided, shall be of best quality cast iron pipe of the grade known as extra heavy, or best quality standard weight, galvanized wrought iron pipe, except that black wrought iron pipe or black copper-bearing steel pipe may be used for rain water leaders or down spouts when connected to any brook or watercourse, except that lead pipe may be used for short connections where necessary, subject to the approval of the City Engineer.
   (B)   The pipe shall be of uniform thickness throughout, shall be free from all defects and shall have average weights not less than that specified below:
      (1)   For cast iron pipe.
