§ 94.37 CERTIFICATES OF REGISTRATION FOR FIRMS SERVICING FIRE EXTINGUISHERS.
   (A)   Each firm engaged in the business of servicing portable fire extinguishers in the city shall be required to have a certificate of registration issued by the Fire Department.
(1967 Code, § 7-35)
   (B)   Any firm that desires to engage in the business of servicing portable fire extinguishers shall make a written verified application to the Fire Department on forms provided for a certificate of registration for each separate location of the firm where service is performed. The application must be signed by the sole proprietor, or each partner, or by an officer of the corporation.
(1967 Code, § 7-36)
   (C)   If the Fire Department finds, after reviewing the applicant's record, that the granting or renewing of a certificate of registration would not be contrary to public safety and welfare, it shall issue or renew the certificate of registration authorizing the applicant to engage in the business of servicing portable fire extinguishers, provided the requisite fee has been paid. The Fire Department shall give each certificate of registration an identifying number.
(1967 Code, § 7-37)
   (D)   Application for renewal of a certificate of registration shall be made annually by every firm holding an existing certificate of registration and be accompanied by the required annual fee.
(1967 Code, § 7-40)
   (E)   A certificate of registration issued pursuant to this section is not transferable. Any firm changing the form under which it does business must apply for a new certificate of registration.
(1967 Code, § 7-39)
   (F)   The Fire Department shall withhold issuing or renewing a certificate of registration until provided with proof that the applicant has a minimum of $500,000 public liability insurance which will protect the public (both from property damage and personal injury) from the negligence of the applicant in and about the business of servicing portable fire extinguishers.
(1967 Code, § 7-41)
