Within 48 hours of the removal of the abandoned motor vehicle, the Police Department shall send notice to the registered owner of the abandoned vehicle, if known, and also to the owner of the private property and the occupant of the private property from which the motor vehicle was removed, that the abandoned motor vehicle, or motor vehicles, has been impounded and stored for violation of this chapter. The notice shall give the storage location of the abandoned motor vehicle or motor vehicles, the costs incurred by the city for removal and storage, and the information that the abandoned motor vehicle may be sold:
(A) If the market value of the abandoned motor vehicle does not exceed $100 and it is stored for more than 30 days; or
(B) If the value of the abandoned motor vehicle exceeds $100 and it is stored for more than 90 days.
