No permit will be issued to any contractor until he has filed with the city a certificate of public liability and property damage insurance in amounts specified by the Corporation Counsel of the city. The insurance shall be approved by the Director of Finance of the city and the Board of Aldermen as surety. The insurance shall indemnify the city from any loss or damage that may directly or indirectly be occasioned by the installation of the building sewer for a period of one year from date of its completion.
