§ 30.06 MARKING VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT.
   (A)   All city owned trucks and passenger cars, except those used by the detective department and regular fire fighting apparatus, shall be marked as follows:
      "City of Waterbury" in letters at least two inches in height, and directly under, the name of the department using the same in letters at least one inch in height, and directly under the name of the department a number to be supplied by the Director of Finance at least two inches in height. All markings shall be painted with either red or yellow paint and shall be placed on the outside of the front doors of the equipment.
   (B)   All other equipment such as compressors, steam shovels, snow removers, tractors, tool boxes and the like shall be marked in same form as to name, department, number and color of paint. The position of placing the marking shall be in the most conspicuous place on the equipment.

   (C)   The marking of vehicles and equipment shall be exposed to public view at all times and never covered or concealed to hide the identity of the property.

   (D)   Violation of any part of this section by any official or employee shall subject him to dismissal in accordance with civil service regulations.
