§ 35.001 ESTABLISHMENT.
   As required by § 6C-10 of the Charter of the city there shall be a City of Waterbury Retirement Board ("Retirement Board"), which, in addition to its other responsibilities and authority to administer the City of Waterbury Retirement System ("Retirement System"), shall, subject to the provisions hereinafter set forth, be authorized to retain and discharge individuals or entities to provide independent investment, legal (with the exception of litigation counsel which shall remain the purview of the Corporation Counsel), accounting, financial, actuarial, medical and such other advice and services (all hereinafter "Advisory Services") as the Retirement Board may deem necessary or appropriate for the proper operation and administration of the Retirement System in accordance with the terms and provisions as set forth in the Charter of the city, the General Statutes and Special Laws of the State of Connecticut and ordinances (including, but not limited to the procurement protocols of the city), applicable to the Retirement System, as amended from time to time.
