§ 32.26 JOINT ADMINISTRATION OF THE ENTERPRISE FUND COLLECTIONS PERTAINING TO WATER AND SEWER SERVICES.
   (A)   The Bureau of Water and Department of Water Pollution Control shall be responsible for the joint administration and management of Enterprise Fund Collections pertaining to water and sewer services. In order to facilitate the collection process, the Department may utilize the services of other departments of the city and/or obtain the services of vendors who provide collection services in accordance with the general statutes, Charter and the code of ordinances. Moreover, the joint administration shall not abrogate the appropriate functions of the Office of the Corporation Counsel and the tax collection responsibilities of the Department of Finance, as set forth in the Charter of the city. In this respect, the Bureau and the Department shall advise and seek consultation from the Corporation Counsel with respect to all collection strategies, procedures and methods.
   (B)   In the institution of proceedings by the city to enforce the collection of fees pertaining to the Municipal Sewerage System and Waterworks Systems the person liable for the payment shall be required to pay the fees and costs permitted by the general statutes.
