8-4-2: EXEMPTION FROM BUILDING CODE REQUIREMENTS:
Due to the specialized purpose of emergency nature for which family fallout shelters are designed, any such shelter which complies with the provisions of this chapter are hereby exempt from the provisions of the building code, except as otherwise provided herein. (1989 Code § 12-561)
