3-2-9: OCCULT ARTS:

A. Applicability: Fortune tellers, mediums, astrologers, psychics, palm readers, hypnotists, and all other practitioners of unusual or occult arts or sciences or those holding themselves out to be such shall obtain a business license.

B. License and Permit Application:

1. Business License: Persons desiring to practice occult arts from a premise within City limits shall obtain the license required in section 3-1-3E.

a. Additional Information And Requirements: In addition to the licensing requirements in section 3-1-3E applicants must also provide an original or a copy of a BCI background check as defined in section 3-5-2 of this article

2. Temporary Use Permits: Persons desiring to practice occult arts for circuses, carnivals, fairs, festivals or other special events shall obtain a Temporary Use Permit as required by Title 9, chapter 19 of this code. (Ord. 2022-64, 12-14-2022)
