For the purpose of this chapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
TAXICAB. Any motor vehicle designated or constructed to accommodate or transport passengers, the principal operation of which is confined to the corporate limits and suburban areas of the city, and not operating over any definite route, and the destination of which is designated by the passengers at the time of the transportation.
