§ 70.20 ESTABLISHMENT OF CITY TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM.
   (A)   Pursuant to I.C. 36-9-2-2, the city does hereby ratify, by this section, a resolution passed by the city in 1973 establishing the Washington Transportation System, and does by this section, establish the same in accordance with the powers extended to the city in I.C. 36-9-2-2.
   (B)   The Board of Public Works and Safety is specifically authorized by this section to manage and operate the transportation system, and the Clerk-Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to maintain a separate accounting of any and all funds relating to the Washington Transportation System, and shall not commingle the funds with any other departmental or general fund monies. The Board of Public Works and Safety is authorized to operate and manage the transportation system in a commercially reasonable manner and shall be obligated to set forth for approval of the Council any expenditures.
