(A) State law, specifically I.C. 36-8-3-20 allows cities to provide by ordinance for any number of police reserve officers.
(B) Police reserve officers shall be appointed by the Chief of Police with the approval of the Board of Public Works and Safety.
(C) The police reserve officers shall have those powers as allowed by I.C. 36-8-3-20(e) except as may be limited by the Rules of the Washington Police Department.
(D) Police reserve officers shall be bound by the regulations contained in § 44 of the Policies of the Washington Police Department.
