§ 30.16 BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY ESTABLISHED; CONTROL OVER CERTAIN DEPARTMENTS.
   (A)   There is hereby established a Board of Public Works and Safety within the executive branch. The members of the Board of Public Works and Safety are the Mayor, and 2 persons appointed by the Mayor, both of whom shall have been resident voters of the city for a period of 1 year preceding their respective appointments, and who shall serve at his or her pleasure.
   (B)   This Board shall be the chief administrative body of the city and shall have control of the day-to-day operations of the following executive branches which are hereby established:
      (1)   Police Department;
      (2)   Fire Department;
      (3)   Waterworks Department;
      (4)   Wastewater Department;
      (5)   Electric/Line Department;
      (6)   Street Department;
      (7)   Engineering Department;
      (8)   Utilities Office Department;
      (9)   Buildings Department; and
      (10)   Information Technology Department.
