The cover over the culvert and its capacity shall be determined by the developer's engineer and approved by the city. The minimum diameter of a culvert pipe shall be 18 inches. Depending on existing drainage conditions, head walls and protective rip-rap are required.
(B) Driveway culverts shall have a minimum length of 20 feet and a minimum diameter of 12 inches. The driveway culverts shall be laid so as to maintain the flow lines of the ditch or gutter. Headwalls may be required.
