All soil and waste pipe shall be provided with fittings with separate “Y” or “TY” correctly faced inlets for all branch, waste and fixture connections. When the vent from a water closet is taken from the crown of a cast or wrought iron or brass horizontal branch, smaller fixtures may discharge into the side of the same through proper sanitary “Ys”, at any point above the center line of the horizontal branch.
