A qualified Building Inspector who is familiar with the 1993 OBOA Code and general building practice shall be appointed by the City Manager to serve at the pleasure of the City Manager, and enforce the provisions of this Building Code and the Zoning Code, as hereinafter set forth, and to perform such other duties as may be required of him by law. The City Manager shall also appoint such Assistant Building Inspectors with the same qualifications, duties and privileges as the Building Inspector to serve at the pleasure of the City Manager. Assistant Building Inspectors may also serve as Assistant Zoning Inspectors, as designated by the City Manager and shall perform such duties as may be required by ordinance.
