§ 50.05  INSTALLATION OF METER AND LINES; SPECIFICATIONS.
   (A)   (1)   The village shall be paid the sum of $350, in advance, before completing the installation of a water meter and water line. The village shall be responsible for extending the water line to the user’s property line, so long as such extension is 60 feet or less. In the event that the extension of the water line exceeds 60 feet in length, then in that event the user is responsible for the cost and reimbursement to the village for the extension of the water line in excess of 60 feet to the user’s property line.
      (2)   The user shall be responsible for the cost of extending the water line from his or her property line to the dwelling unit. The village will have the final determination in determining the location and placement of the water meter and water line. All apartments will be charged $350 for installation, to be paid in advance, plus $350 for each apartment unit.
   (B)   Any additional water line shall meet the specifications of copper tubing or its equivalent, which the Village Board shall determine from time to time. The Superintendent shall inspect all hookups before ditches are closed.
   (C)   The water meter shall remain the property of the village, and all water lines and meters must be installed by a plumber licensed by the state; and placing of water meters shall be subject to the approval of the Superintendent of Water and Streets.
