§ 30.22  CERTIFICATE OF ELECTION; POSSESSION OF OFFICER.
   (A)   After taking oath and before entering upon the duties of the offices, all village officers, including the President, Trustees, and Clerk, shall be commissioned by warrant under the corporate seal, signed by the President and attested by the Clerk. The President shall issue a certificate of election under the corporation seal to the Clerk.
   (B)   Any person holding the warrant of certificate of election or appointment to any office as provided in division (A) above shall, pending a contest to such office, be entitled to the possession of such office and all books, papers and property, and effects of every kind and character belonging or appertaining to the same.
