§ 91.07  NOTICE OF IMPOUNDMENT.
   (A)   When cats, dogs, or other owned animals are apprehended and impounded by the Animal Control Officer, and such animals are unidentified, said animals shall be held for a boarding period of not less than three days.
   (B)   If the owner of the impounded animal is known or is identified, said animal shall be held and the President shall give notice of not less than seven days to the owner. Such notice shall be mailed to the last known address of the owner.
   (C)   In case the owner of any impounded animal desires to make redemption thereof, he or she may do so on the following conditions:
      (1)   He or she must present proof of current rabies inoculation, and registration, if applicable;
      (2)   He or she must pay for the rabies inoculation of the animal if same does not have a current inoculation; and
      (3)   He or she must pay the pound for the board of the animal for the period it was impounded according to the following redemption fee schedule:
         (a)   Ten dollars per day for the taking up and impounding of each animal wearing a tag as required by the Animal Control Act, 510 ILCS 5/1 et seq.; or
         (b)   Ten dollars per day for the taking up and impounding of each animal which is not wearing a tag issued under the Animal Control Act, 510 ILCS 5/1 et seq..
      (4)   He or she must pay an additional $25 as a reclamation fee for the first such occasion said animal was apprehended running at large and $35 for each subsequent occasion, which reclamation fee shall be paid to the village.
