§ 71.04  EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS.
   Any golf carts/ATVs/UTVs that are operated on the village streets must be equipped with a headlight that emits a white light visible from a distance of 500 feet to the front and a tail lamp that emits a red light visible from at least 100 feet from the rear which must be lighted at all times during the period from sunset to sunrise (as required of other vehicles in § 12-201 of the Illinois Vehicle Code, 625 ILCS 5/12-201). If any golf cart/ATV/UTV is not equipped with turn signals, then hand signals shall be used. Golf carts/ATVs/UTVs must also be equipped with a horn, brakes, brake lights, a steering apparatus, tires, a rearview mirror, and a “Slow Moving Vehicle” or IDOT approved reflective tape on the rear of the golf cart/ATV/UTV, as well as any additional requirements which may be amended to 625 ILCS 5/11-1426.1(e) or the Illinois Motor Vehicle Code.
