§ 33.12  SUSPENSION.
   (A)   The Chief of Police may suspend any police officer when there is any criminal or civil action pending against the police officer, when the suspension in the judgment of the Chief of Police would be in the best interest of the town.
   (B)   This suspension may be with or without pay, depending upon whether or not in the judgment of the Chief it is a disciplinary or non-disciplinary measure.
   (C)   Upon reinstatement and for good cause the Board may authorize full recovery of any pay and/or benefits for the period of suspension.
