7-2-3-11: MANNER OF EXCAVATING:

It shall be unlawful to make any excavation without providing proper bracing to prevent the collapse of adjoining ground, and no excavation shall have anywhere below the surface any portion which extends beyond the opening at the surface. (Ord. 1663, 3-16-1998)
