7-2-3-7: PAVEMENT REPAIRS FOR STREETS CONTAINING PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE:
Whenever an excavation is proposed to any street or road constructed in whole or in part with Portland cement concrete, the street or road shall be repaired or reconstructed to the following standards:
   A.   All street openings shall be first saw cut in a manner approved by the City or the City's designated engineering firm.
   B.   Replacement pavement shall be of Portland cement concrete full depth equal to the existing pavement and the replacement pavement shall be tied in to the existing pavement with steel tie bars of a size, length, and in a manner approved by the City's Engineer or the City's designated engineering firm.
   C.   All bituminous courses shall be replaced with equal or better bituminous courses.
   D.   All pavement patching shall be done in accordance with section 442 of the "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction", latest edition, published by the Illinois Department of Transportation. (Ord. 1663, 3-16-1998)
