5-3-7: NO STOPPING, STANDING OR PARKING AREAS:
   A.   No person shall stop, park or leave standing any vehicle, whether attended or unattended, along the following roadways:
      1.   Illinois Route 59 from the northern corporate limits of the city to the southern corporate limits of the city.
      2.   Illinois Route 56 from the western corporate limits of the city to the eastern corporate limits of the city. (Ord. 695, 3-19-1984)
      3.   Parking shall not be permitted along Route 59 between Batavia Road and Illinois Route 56, within the city limits.
The city council will prohibit future parking at such locations on or immediately adjacent to Route 59, between Batavia Road and Illinois Route 56 (Butterfield Road), in the city, as may be determined and directed by the state to be necessary to ensure the free flow of traffic and safety to the motoring public.    B.   This section does not apply to the driver of any vehicle which is disabled in such a manner and to such an extent that it is impossible to avoid stopping and temporarily leaving such disabled vehicle in such position. (Ord. 695, 3-19-1984)
