The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to emergency vehicles while engaged in taking care of an emergency. The driver of any vehicle herein listed is not exempt from the obligation to so park as to constitute a minimum of interference with the normal flow of traffic, nor is he exempted from the obligation to follow the directions of a police officer:
A. Official vehicles of any police department, fire department or of any other governmental agency.
B. Ambulances.
C. Physicians' automobiles.
D. Emergency vehicles of utility companies.
E. Tow trucks or other road service vehicles.
F. Firemen's automobiles at a fire call or at a fire department station.
G. Tradesmen's vehicles at a location where construction, repairs or alterations are being done.
H. Delivery vehicles while making a delivery.
I. The prohibition of parking of section 5-3-8 of this chapter shall not apply to vehicles parked by city officials or others engaged in business at the municipal building. (Ord. 695, 3-19-1984)
