A. Reports of dog bites shall be maintained by the Police Department and the offending animal shall be maintained or impounded as required or directed by the DuPage County rabies control regulations until the animal is deemed to be free of disease.
B. A person having knowledge that any person has been bitten by a dog, cat or other animal shall notify the Police Department promptly. Failure to notify in a prompt fashion is unlawful. (Ord. 1301, 3-7-1994)
