4-4-3: LICENSE FEES; ISSUANCE OF TAGS:
   A.   Fees And Tags: Upon signing and delivering said application, the owner or keeper shall pay to the city clerk a license fee for each dog, as follows:
 
1. Neutered dog
$4.00
2. Nonneutered dog
8.00
 
Upon payment of the appropriate fee, the city clerk shall then issue to such owner or keeper a metal tag with the year for which such license was issued inscribed thereon and shall register such dog in a book kept for that purpose. The city clerk shall also issue to the owner or keeper a receipt showing that the appropriate fee has been paid. The owner or keeper of such dog shall cause the aforementioned metal tag to be securely attached to a collar on the neck of the dog and shall not permit such dog to appear in public without wearing such collar with such tag affixed.    B.   Senior Citizen Fees: If the owner or keeper of the dog is over the age of sixty five (65) years old, there shall be no fee charged for a city license issued for a neutered dog, and the fee for a nonneutered dog shall be four dollars ($4.00). The aforesaid senior citizens' fee reduction shall be limited to one dog per person.
   C.   Seeing Eye Dogs/Dogs Assisting Hearing Impaired: There shall be no fee charged for a city license issued for a seeing eye dog or for a dog assisting a hearing impaired person if the owner or keeper of such dog requires the use thereof. (Ord. 1346, 9-6-1994)
