1-4-3: PENALTY FOR REPEAT OFFENSES:
   A.   Unless any specific penalty provision of this Code or of any ordinance of the City of Warrenville provides a penalty for repeat offenses, whether said provision is currently existing or hereafter adopted, increased fines shall be imposed for repeated violations in the manner set forth in subsection B of this section.    B.   Increased fines shall be imposed for repeated violations (hereinafter referred to as a "repeat offense") by a person of any requirement or provisions of this Code or any ordinance, including the City's zoning ordinance. As used in this section, "repeat offense" means a second (or subsequent) violation of the same ordinance, regulation, requirement or Code provision: 1) committed by a person within any twelve (12) month period (unless some other period is specifically provided by this Code or any ordinance) and 2) for which the person has either been found guilty in the Circuit Court of the 18th Judicial Circuit, DuPage County, Illinois, or by virtue of a final, unappealable administrative adjudication decision. Unless otherwise specifically provided by this code, statute, or any ordinance for a particular violation, the increased fine for a repeat offense shall be as follows:
      1.   The fine for any offense which is a first repeat offense shall be no less than two hundred twenty five dollars ($225.00), plus costs.
      2.   The fine for any offense which is a second repeat offense shall be no less than five hundred dollars ($500.00), plus costs.
      3.   The fine for any offense which is a third repeat offense or any subsequent repeat offense shall be seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00), plus costs. (Ord. 2742, 9-17-2012)
