§ 110.01  DEFINITION.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   TRANSIENT MERCHANTS, PEDDLERS AND HAWKERS.  Individuals, who, acting for themselves, or as agents of others:
      (1)   Go upon the public thoroughfares of the town calling on private residences for the purpose of selling, or soliciting the sale of, merchandise or services for immediate or later delivery; or
      (2)   Who transact any temporary or transient business within the town in the way of selling merchandise or services by sample or otherwise.
