§ 90.05  IMPOUNDMENT REGULATIONS.
   (A)   Any unlicensed animal found running at large shall be taken up by the agents of the Animal Control Authority, and impounded in the animal shelter in a humane manner for a period of not less than three days, and may thereafter be disposed of in a humane manner if not claimed by its owner.  An animal not claimed by its owner before the expiration of three days shall become the property of the Animal Control Authority and shall be disposed of at its discretion except as hereinafter provided.

   (D)   Immediately upon impounding any animal, the agents of the Animal Control Authority shall make a reasonable effort to notify the owner of such animal so impounded, and inform such owner of the conditions whereby he may regain custody of such animal.
   (E)   Animals other than dogs and cats shall be impounded when found running at large within the town's limits and shall be disposed of in accordance with applicable law.
