(A) The term of each Council member and of the Clerk- Treasurer shall be four years. The terms of all town officers elected at any regular election shall begin at noon on the first day of January next following their election. The town officers shall meet at 12:00 noon on the first day of January following their election in the Council Chambers and file their certificates of election and take and subscribe their oath of office.
(B) The Clerk-Treasurer shall give bond as provided by law and the retiring Town Council, having completed their term, shall adjourn, and the new Council shall at once organize by electing one of their members President of Council.
