§ 31.01  ELECTION PROCEDURE.
   (A)   Nomination of candidates.
      (1)   Pursuant to IC 3-8-5-2(a) and (c), the nomination of candidates for town offices shall be:
         (a)   By primary election;
         (b)   By petition filed under IC 3-8-6; or
         (c)   By declaration of candidacy, if a primary election is not required under IC 3-8-5-10 for the political party of which the candidate is a member.
      (2)   The Clerk- Treasurer shall file a copy of this subsection with the Huntington County Circuit Court Clerk upon its adoption.
   (B)   The town's elective offices shall be four Council member positions and a Clerk- Treasurer, all which shall be filled by at large election.
   (C)   The election of administrative officials of the town shall be held according to, and those officials elected shall be governed by, the laws of the state currently in force governing town elections and town officials.
