The purpose of this chapter is to promote the public safety, health, and welfare of the citizens of the county through the regulation of abandoned manufactured homes in the county. All abandoned property defined herein is hereby declared to be a public nuisance, the abatement of which pursuant to the police power is hereby declared to be necessary for the health, welfare, and safety of the residents of the county. This chapter is adopted pursuant to the authority contained in G.S. Ch. 160D and G.S. §§ 153A-121, 153A-123, and 153A-140.
