Before adopting or amending this chapter, the Board of County Commissioners shall conduct a public hearing on the proposal. A notice of the public hearing shall be advertised once a week for two successive calendar weeks in a newspaper having general circulation in the area. The notice shall be published for the first time not less than ten days or more than 25 days before the appointed date of the meeting.
