(A)
The purpose of this chapter is to protect the safety and welfare of the general public through the orderly assignment of structure addresses to facilitate the location of and access to individual dwellings and businesses by emergency response personnel.
(B) This chapter shall establish the standards and procedures for implementing and maintaining a system to address and name all existing roads and structures and all newly constructed properties and roads.
