§ 90.006  APPLICABILITY TO ANIMAL SHELTER.
   The county shall operate and maintain a county animal shelter, known as the county animal ark, for the purpose of impounding and caring for animals held under the authority of state law, this chapter, or any other county ordinance. The county may contract for animal shelter operations and needs as deemed appropriate.
